Dr. Pamela Ajayi; MD CEO Pathcare Nigeria Limited
Dr. Pamela Jackson-Ajayi is the Managing Director of PathCare, the foremost Pathology Service Company in Nigeria established in 2005. PathCare is the first and only medical laboratory to achieve the International Standards Organisation Accreditation – (ISO 15189) from the South African National Accreditation Systems (SANAS), and this ISO accreditation provides an assurance that all its process meets the highest standard achievable world wide.
Dr. Ajayi has been at the helm of affairs of PathCare since its inception and has led the company through its remarkable success leading to its conferment as West Africa’s World Class Medical Diagnostic Laboratory & DNA Services Consultants of the Year 2010 by West African Corporate Achievement 2010.
Dr. Pamela brings insights to the show that are as penetrating as they are engaging and she always draws the listeners back to the need for preventive measures, medical testing and early detection. Respected as a pioneer in her field, Dr. Pamela is indeed a voice worth listening to.

Dr Ademolu Owoyele has a bachelor of science in Medicine and a bachelor of science in Surgery from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology and also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration specializing in Marketing from the Bradford School of Management.
Prior to his appointment with PathCare as Business Manager he was Executive Officer / Clinic Head with Oceanic Health Management Limited. He also has had ample years of experience in clinical practice before moving into Management. He has worked with Lagos State Health Service Commission, Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Med-In Specialist Hospital and Mother and Child Hospitals.
Dr Ademolu has certification in health resources management from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and health, safety and environmental management certification amongst others. He is a member of the International Institute of Business Analysis (Canada) and also an associate member – International Management Academy (UK), while in medical school he won the award for the most enterprising medical student and today, he brings this same spirit of excellence in healthcare management to the Doctors on Air radio programme.
PROFESSOR (MRS.) IBIRONKE AKINSETE
Born in 1938 in Lagos, to the well known Daddy-Alaja-Browne Family of Olowogbowo, Professor Ibironke akinsete was educated at CMS Girls School Lagos; St. Anne’s School, Ibadan; Kent College, Pembury, Kent England and Aberdeen University, Scotland. Her area of Specialisation in Medicine is Haematology and Blood transfusion at the University of Lagos, College of Medicine from 1989 until her retirement in July 2003.
Her Academic and Professional qualifications include: M.A.CH.B, Aberdeen 1963, M.D. Aberdeen, 1972, F.M.C. (Path), 1978, FWACP 1986 and FAS 2006. Sixth form prize in science, Kent College, Pembury, Kent, England – 1957; Federal Nigerian scholarship for Medicine 1960-1963; Trainee Fellowship in Haematology, Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal Canada 1963-1968; Garden Fellowship in Haematology, Aberdeen University, Scotland 1973-1974; Nigerian Women Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Medicine, DAME International 2002; University of Lagos Long service Award, December 2002 and many others.

Dr. Taiwo Sonoiki

Dr. Ebun Ladipo Bamgboye
Dr. Ebun Ladipo Bamgboye is a Consultant Physician/Nephrologist and Clinical Services Director, St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos. He is also the Secretary-General, Board of Trustees, Nathan Kidney Foundation. He has had over twenty years of post qualification experience as a Medical Doctor spanning both the public and private sector and he has several publications to his credit He is currently a member of the Africa Subcommittee COMGAN Organ of the International Society of Nephrology and the Advisory Board, St Nicholas Hospital, Lagos.

Dr. Richard Ajayi
Dr Richard Ajayi is a renowned Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with an in-depth knowledge in the management of infertility. He is the Managing Director of The Bridge Clinic, Nigeria’s first Assisted Conception Unit. The Bridge Clinic was established in collaboration with consultants from Kings College London in 1999 and as the only ISO 9001:2001 certified clinic, their continuing commitment to quality is evident. The Bridge Clinic successfully transferred the technology of In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) to Nigeria and was the first to introduce and achieve a birth by Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI). Since its inception, The Bridge Clinic has celebrated over 1,100 live births and over 10 years of success.
Dr. Ajayi qualified with a distinction from the prestigious Kings College Hospital School of medicine and Dentistry, University of London in 1988 and has since received training in the management of infertility in several prestigious hospitals and educational institutions. Aside from being a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RCOG), Dr Ajayi is a member of several other foreign and local professional bodies including the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), General Medical Council (GMC), International Association of Private Assisted Reproductive Technology Clinics and Laboratory (A PART), Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, Society of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians of Nigeria (SOGON), Nigeria Medical Council (NMA), Guild of Medical Directors, Nigerian Fertility Society (NFS), Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (AGPMPN). He is also Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (WACS).
He brings years of knowledge and experience to the discussions on Infertility and related topics on Doctors on Air.


Dr. Austin Obichere (MBBS, MD, FRCS) was appointed to the post of Consultant Colorectal Surgeon, University College London Hospital (UCLH) & Hon. Senior Lecturer University College London (UCL) in 2003. He completed specialist training in Coloproctology at St. Mark’s Hospital, London, U.K and was a Laparoscopic Colorectal Fellow at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Canada.
He is a Joint Advisory Board (JAG) accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist and is Director of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme at UCLH.
His area of specialist interest include laparoscopic colorectal surgery, screening for bowel cancer, surgical management of colorectal cancer and other benign disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and pelvic floor. Dr. Obichere has maintained an active research interest in this field and is a member of Surgical Sub-Group of National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI). He is the Chief Investigator of ISAAC (Initial Surgery in Advanced Asymptomatic Colorectal Cancer) – an International randomised clinical trial exploring the role of early surgical excision of the primary tumour in patients receiving systemic chemotherapy for stage IV colorectal cancer. This trial has received funding and support from Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and the NCRI respectively.
Dr. Ibironke Annette Amodu
Doctor Annette Amodu is a Child psychiatrist from the UK.

Dr. Yemisi Fadahunsi had her secondary school education at St . Louis Grammar School , Ibadan. A-Levels at the Cambridge Tutors ,Surrey UK.
She obtained the Batchelor of Dental surgery degree at the University of Ibadan 1985.
She is an associate fellow of the WACS and has attended several formal and informal courses both at home and abroad. She is the senior dental surgeon at Andchristie dental clinic in Ikoyi Lagos Nigeria . The dental clinic deals with all types of dental problems. Dr Fadahunsi has been in private practice for 20 years and specialises in the areas of oral surgery and implantology.
Dr. Ayo Shonibare Mr Ayo Shonibare MB.BCh ( Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland ) FRCS ( Ireland ) FWACS ( West Africa )
Dr. Ayo Shonibare is a Consultant Urologist and Transplant Surgeon with over 20 years experience in the medical field. He has worked in several healthcare institutions both within and outside Nigeria. Mr. Shonibare qualified as a medical practitioner from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1985. He underwent postgraduate training in surgery at various centers of excellence in the UK. He was awarded the surgical fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1991 and worked as a surgical Registrar in Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood, United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria in 1993. He joined Saint Nicholas Hospital in 1993 as a Consultant Surgeon / Urologist and rose to the position of the Medical Director in 1995, a position which he held till 1999 when he left to set up his own urological centre. He is currently the Medical Director and Consultant Urologist of Vantage Medical Centre, a busy private urological practice in Victoria Island, Lagos. He is a visiting Consultant to many hospitals including Saint Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, Reddington Hospital, Lagos, and the University College Hospital, Ibadan. Dr. Shonibare was a key member of the team that performed the first kidney transplantation in Nigeria in March 2000 and he has since performed several successful cases.
Dr. Ngozi Onyia is a highly qualified paediatrician and the Medical Director of Paelon Memorial Clinic a general practice clinic in Victoria Island, Lagos. It was established with the objective of being a first point of medical contact within the healthcare system with open and unlimited access to all discerning health users, dealing with all health problems regardless of age, gender or any other characteristics.
Dr. Onyia received her secondary education from Queen’s College, Yaba between 1970 and 1977 and obtained her MBBS in 1982 from the University of Ibadan. She became a fellow in Pediatrics of the West African College of Physicians in 1998 and thereafter received further training from such prestigious institutions as Lagos Business School of the Pan African University, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town. She is an active fellow of the West African College of Physicians and a member of the board of trustees and executive of the Society for Quality health in Nigeria.
